  • To maintain a high-quality learning environment, numbers are generally capped at 15 per class. Larger groups may be accommodated with additional instructors.

  • Yes! All Darling Theatre Company teachers and facilitators have relevant experience and qualifications, as well as current Working With Children Checks (where applicable).

  • Complete an enrolment form online, and your place will be reserved if spaces are available. Alternatively, you can email hello@thedarlingtheatrecompany.com to let us know which session you’d like to attend.

  • We welcome actors of all ages and experience levels. Our core ensemble is earned through participation in our classes, so anyone interested in serious training and performing is encouraged to join. We also offer one‑off workshops, camera training, audition surgeries, and kids’ classes.

  • No experience is required for most introductory classes. Our approach is about learning through rehearsal, so actors develop skills in technique, voice, movement, and text while actively performing.

  • Yes! Depending on availability, it’s sometimes possible to join a class or course mid-term. Fees are adjusted to cover only the remaining sessions.

  • Absolutely! If you’re new to theatre and unsure if it’s right for you, your first class can be attended with no obligation to continue.

  • Yes! Families enrolling in more than one class per term are eligible for a 20% discount.

  • Yes. Our training-in-performance model means actors develop technique while rehearsing and performing plays. Youth’ classes culminate in live performances each year, and adult and youth actors participate in our full season of classical plays, new writing, and showcases.

  • Classes are held at Bangalow A&I Society Hall 3 Station St, Bangalow, New South Wales 2479 accessible by car and public transport. Parking is available on-site.

  • Class and workshop fees range from $200 to $300 per term, with Early Bird rates sometimes available before each term.

    Full payment is required at the time of enrolment to secure your place. Refunds are available if a cancellation is made 7 days or more before the first session (a $20 processing fee may apply). Cancellations less than 7 days before the session start date are generally non-refundable, except in exceptional circumstances.

    Invoices and payment confirmations are sent after enrolment, and we ask that payments include the participant’s name as a reference.

  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement, such as t-shirts, leggings, shorts, or similar items. Bring a water bottle. No special footwear is required; barefoot is preferred for most classes.

  • Yes, occasionally, for promotional purposes. Participants complete a consent form for image use and can opt out if preferred.

  • Absolutely. Our adult classes welcome all levels and ages. We focus on skill-building, confidence, and ensemble work rather than prior experience.

  • Parents are welcome to attend performances and showcases. For regular classes, we ask parents to wait outside the studio to allow participants to focus, unless otherwise indicated.
