At The Darling Theatre Company, our ensemble trains in the exact professional rehearsal environment expected of actors preparing for live performance. Each rehearsal is built on trust, curiosity, discipline, diligence and collaboration, helping actors grow naturally while bringing the play and their characters to life. Roles will be delegated after the audition process, and actors will be able to develop their characters using all the techniques provided during the rehearsal process and experience the true nature of working as part of an ensemble in a professional company.
Join us for an 8‑week, 136‑hour rehearsal intensive designed to deepen your craft and take you from the amateur to the professional end of your work. Through full‑day ensemble training, you’ll develop work ready for the stage and for industry audiences. The program includes six live performances, a recognised professional credit, and the opportunity to share your work with invited casting directors, directors and other industry guests.
Includes:
• 136 hours of ensemble rehearsals and actor training across 8 weeks.
• Six fully staged performances with meaningful stage time and audience experience.
• A professional credit under The Darling Theatre Company.
• Industry exposure through invited guests at rehearsals and performances.
• Two individual 1:1 coaching sessions (valued at $99 per session)
• Full creative support, direction and production guidance throughout the intensive.

Our first production!
A Brand-New, Saucy & Hilarious Premiere
The Darling Theatre Company presents the premiere of Joshua Sasse’s bold, riotously funny new comedy. What begins as a seemingly innocent classical book club soon becomes devoted to an outrageously steamy fairy fantasy - quickly turning into something far more unexpected. As fantasy and reality blur, a tight-knit group of women (and man), discover that the real plot twists belong to the people reading the story.
Performance Dates:
Wednesday 19 August – 4pm & 7.30pm
Thursday 20 August – 7.30 pm
Friday 21 August – 7.30 pm
Saturday 22 August – 1pm
MISSED THIS ROUND?
Our next Ensemble Auditions will be held later in the year.
Where commitment meets creativity, ensembles are forged, and actors learn what it truly means to bring a story to life.
