The Darling Approach

We don’t coach actors to “get it right.”
We coach actors to tell the truth in the moment

Our focus is on:

• Freedom over perfection
• Connection over control
• Specificity over generalisation
• Play over performance anxiety

You’ll leave not only with a strong self-tape but with a repeatable framework you can apply to every audition moving forward.

This is professional craft training in a focused, supportive environment - designed to help you step into the room (or onto the screen) with truth and presence.

Teaching Style

Joshua Sasse, an internationally working actor with extensive television and film credits, leads the program. His teaching blends professional discipline with creative freedom, helping students refine technique while building confidence and artistic courage.

Training at The Darling Theatre Company emphasises:

• Collaboration and ensemble work
• Focused discipline and preparation
• Emotional honesty and creative risk-taking
• Professional standards from day one

Students are encouraged to continue across multiple terms to deepen their craft and tackle increasingly challenging material.
