Audition Overview

This audition is for actors seeking a place in the Darling Company Ensemble. The company casts from within its training program; our Stage, On-Screen Acting & Auditions Technique classes are the pathway into the ensemble, and completing the relevant course is a prerequisite for auditioning.

The 8-week ensemble program is an intensive rehearsal process featuring over 136 hours of voice, movement, text, and technique training, culminating in a professional play performed in at least six live shows for the paying public and invited industry guests.

What to Prepare

Please prepare one contemporary monologue (1–2 minutes). You may optionally prepare a second contrasting piece. Monologues should demonstrate emotional clarity, strong text work, and your capacity for grounded, truthful performance.
