Zero Tolerance Policy

At The Darling Theatre Company, we are committed to creating a community where everyone - students, performers, staff, volunteers, collaborators, and visitors - can participate, learn, and create in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.

We value diversity in all its forms, including race, gender, sexual orientation, age, ability, beliefs, and socio-economic background. We believe these differences strengthen our community and enhance the creativity and work we produce together.

We have a strict zero tolerance approach to any form of discrimination, harassment, bullying, or abusive behaviour, whether it is verbal, physical, emotional, or sexual. Everyone in our community has the right to be treated fairly, safely, and with respect.

Anyone who experiences, witnesses, or suspects inappropriate behaviour is encouraged to speak up. Reports are taken seriously, treated confidentially where possible, and investigated thoroughly. No concern is too minor to be addressed.

We provide training and guidance to staff, students, and collaborators so that everyone understands how to report concerns and access support. Where appropriate, actions may be taken to protect individuals and the community, including suspension, removal from programs, or dismissal.

The Darling Theatre Company is dedicated to ensuring a creative environment free from harassment, abuse, discrimination, or intimidation—where everyone feels secure, respected, and able to fully engage in the life and work of the Company.
