Creative Reset in Byron Bay
Step out of your life for a weekend - and return changed.
This is not a weekly class.
This is not a casual workshop.
This is a focused, small-group intensive designed to shift how you show up -
on camera, on stage, and in yourself.
Set in Byron Bay, over two days, you’ll be taken through a process that strips back performance and reconnects you to something more truthful, more instinctive, and more compelling.
Whether you are an actor, a writer, or simply someone who feels creatively blocked, this work meets you where you are and moves you forward.
The Structure:
Saturday
Technique, exercises, and foundational work
Scene exploration and directed performance
On-camera introduction
Sunday
Deeper scene work and emotional access
On-camera refinement and recording
Playback, feedback, and integration
Who is this for?
No experience is required—only willingness.

What Students Learn
Under the guidance of Joshua Sasse, students develop the essential tools required for professional screen performance, including:
Greater confidence in front of others and on camera
A clearer sense of your creative voice
Recorded material from on-camera work
Practical tools you can return to again and again
A renewed connection to why you create at all
Why
Byron Bay?
Because environment matters.
You are not walking into a fluorescent classroom after work. This is close and connective work in a 100-year-old timber-frame theatre in Byron, 10 minutes from the beach.
You are stepping away from your routine, into a place that allows something close and personal to emerge.
People travel for this.
And they leave different.
Limited Places
This intensive is capped at 12–14 participants.
Not for exclusivity, but because the work demands attention, time, and depth.
Once it’s full, it’s closed.
Teaching Approach
The intensive is led by Joshua Sasse, an internationally working actor with extensive experience in film and television. His approach blends professional discipline with creative freedom, helping young performers build both technical skill and personal confidence.
Training at The Darling Theatre Company emphasises:
• Ensemble values and collaboration
• Discipline and focus
• Emotional honesty
• Courage and creative risk-taking
• Professional standards from an early age
This work is grounded, direct, and focused on truth - not performance.

Begin Your Screen Acting Journey
Most people wait.
They wait until they feel ready, confident, and certain.
This is not for that version of you.
This is for the one who knows something needs to shift and is ready to step in to themselves.
